Wacam participates in May Day celebrations

As part of the programme of Wacam to work with Faith-Based organisations, Hannah Owusu-Koranteng, the Associate Executive Director of Wacam, made a presentation on ‘The Christian and Environmental Stewardship’ at  the General Assembly Council meeting of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Abokobi Presbyterian Women’s Training Centre, Accra on 11th November 2015.

The presentation touched on the Biblical obligations of the Christian on responsible environmental stewardship, ecological complaint of biblical misinterpretation of exercising dominion over the earth, environmental crisis, the need for the Church to develop policy on environment and mainstream environmental consciousness in all the structures of the Church among others.

The Associate Executive Director expressed the preparedness of Wacam to forge closer collaboration with the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in the development of programmes to raise environmental consciousness in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. She further expressed her desire to work with the Presbyteries and Congregations on issues of environmental consciousness at no cost to the Church.

She was supported in the presentation by Mr Daniel Owusu-Koranteng, the Executive Director of Wacam.
